I can’t believe how close General Council is getting - nor how little reading I have actually done! One of the highlights for me will definitely be the national flavour that is there. It is good, although sometimes frustrating, to sift through the wide varieties of understandings of what it means to be part of the United Church of Canada. I love the community that is formed. The singing is amazing with that many voices. Many things to look forward to!
My plan is to write often with my thoughts, questions, reflections - a way for me to stay connected with all of you while I am there.
With any luck I will be able to figure out how to post pictures as well! Here is a picture of my view on Canada Day - a reminder of the gift of this part of our great country!
